5. Seafood

Do you like seafood? Watch Out. If you have a metabolic disorder, your body might smell like fish.

Even though it is delicious food, not everyone can eat seafood because it can cause problems. One of the problems that can arise is Fish Odor Syndrome. That is the smell of fish that comes out of the body after eating fish. This syndrome is called Trimethylaminuria, which occurs due to the body’s inability to digest. And break down trimethylamine substances into trimethylamine N-oxide.

Trimethylamine is what causes the smell of fish to emerge from breath, sweat, and urine. Although it is not known why, this syndrome is more common in women. In addition, seafood can also cause the vagina to smell bad.

6. Chewing Gum

Apart from being delicious, chewing gum is also fun. But it turns out, not much different from coffee, chewing gum can also make bad breath worse.

Often people eat chewing gum after eating, to disguise a sharp-smelling diet. For a while, the smell of mint or cinnamon from chewing gum will disguise the smell of other foods. Chewing gum that contains sugar or artificial sweeteners and carbohydrates will leave bacteria on the surface of the tongue. And teeth which trigger Volatile Sulfur Compound which will make your breath bad. Also, well-known artificial sweeteners like sorbitol, are substances that are difficult to digest, which makes your colon work harder. As a result, you often waste gas.

7. Milk

If you are a milk lover, you should often brush your teeth and shower frequently. Because high protein also makes your body smell intoxicating.

As a drink that contains high protein, if you consume it in excess. Milk can cause hydrogen sulfide to be released through sweat and cause body odor. Besides, it becomes even more problematic when you are lactose intolerant.

The body needs the enzyme Lactase to digest lactose. For a person with lactose intolerant, the production of this enzyme is not optimal. So the under-digested lactose makes you often waste gas which smells bad.
